To respond to some earlier posts....

Alch - O Fortuna is one of those pieces that I find extremely powerful in many of it's different incarnations. I can't tell you how much we listen to that in high school, completely trashed running around in my friends back yard....
Also good is the music done by Kronos Quartet for
Requiem for a Dream
. Such a great movie but very disturbing.

And yes Daiq, Nirvana is considered classic rock. Anything over ten years old is. It scares me too.

I can't stop!!!!!!!

Some other good stuff from that time in my life:

Apoptygma Berzerk - Kathy's Song
A really cool Norweigan band. Took forever to find a decent video to post. There is a lot avaliable from their new album but I don't much care for it.

Funker Vogt - Gunman
Cool angry German industrial band. This is off Maschine Zeit, my favorite of their albums. Awesome in game mass killing music.  Wink

Laz i <3 Wolfsheim, and the chicks from the Aria video not sure which one is who but they r hawt and the song is really neat Tongue.

This video is something i found surfing in youtube a few months ago it's a Korean guy that plays Canon in D of Pachelbel (one of my favorite classical songs) in a not so scholastic way, the arrangements were done by another korean dude, but the kid from this video mastered it so well that he was the one to become famous  Shocked.

here you go

Alch : Never knew that I indeed knew about Prodigy, I have for sure heard the last 3 songs.  As for korn, you are correct, not me at all...BUT I have listened to many of theirs songs and are really one of the only tolerable more hardcore type of music.

Asmo : Although I'm all super softcore now, hearing Nirvana was freakin rad...havn't listened to them in so long...great great stuff.

Daiq : Stealers Wheel - Stuck in the Middle With You, I love that part in the movie  Wink.

Laz : You look hella pissed and that one girl is like 8 feet tall  Shocked!  Interesting mix of music, very new to me indeed.

Rasho : I LOVE U! YOU <3 SHINS...I <3 SHINS...we should get married...and Death Cab is also great stuff!

Keep em' coming.

I'v been really happy about the participation thus far, fun stuff

Okay...

I haven't taken the time yet to read EVERYTHING but a few posts above had really cool/good music. I remember myself spending hours listening to Nirvana... /sigh.
I don't consider myself a music expert nor a devoted fan to any specific trend or group. I am eclectic. What can I say ; I don't really have a pattern and I will listen to anything from hard rock to rock'n roll, rap to soul, hip hop to heavy metal, opera to disco.

I sure like something about every piece of music I enjoy...can be an instrument, a voice, a rhythm, a situation in wich I heard the song, whatever.

Here is a sample of a few I like or that I used to listen to :

Dragula - Rob Zombie :

I was an angry teenager.

No Woman No Cry - Bob Marley :

I was... maybe under the influence. Maybe... well let's say I was in the mood for Marley.

Tristan und Isolde, Act II - Wagner :

This is the part 3 sample. Last third of this is the sexiest piece of opera ever.

Bolero - Ravel :

Rawr! Sad the sound is so lousy on this recording.

Zorba the Greek : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ism_UCP_tzM (Embedding disabled, limit reached)
What can I say... I love Greece thus I love Zorba. Been to Greece... I wanna go baaaaaaaack!

Chariots of Fire - Vangelis : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TYJzcUvS_NU (Embedding disabled, limit reached)
A classic. Everyone loves a good Chariot of Fire. Oh and 1492 isn't crappy either.

Go West - Pet Shop Boys : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39KZ2afBtLU (Embedding disabled, limit reached)
America, Soviet Union and a cold war. Original video cliip.

A Lapdance is so Much Better When the Stripper is Crying - Bloohound Gang : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uE-1Zc5-7tg (Embedding disabled, limit reached)
Because I think it's funny. Cool video as well... song by a stripper bunny O.o

And I haven't mentionned yet Duke Ellington/Louis Armstrong, REM, Roy Orbison, U2 and so many more.

And a French section...yes there must be one Tongue

Rose Rouge - Saint Germain (collective) : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ey8PEi344Jk (Embedding disabled, limit reached)
What I put on for dinner with friends. Video quality isn't really good on this sample.

Le Bien Le Mal (The Good and the Bad) - Jazzmataz : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTp4C1QU94E (Embedding disabled, limit reached)
Jazzmataz has created a unique sound by exploring jazz/rap mix. This song is from a French and an American rapper.

Désenchantée (Desenchanted) - Mylène Farmer : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-osr41-ufI (Embedding disabled, limit reached)
Cool video.

Ne me quitte pas (Don't leave me) - Jacques Brel : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJIZu37Hfr0 (Embedding disabled, limit reached)
ZEeeee French poet of the century.

Enjoy!

We had really high boots.......

Letto: Take me with you to Greece! And I like Mylene Farmer too, discovered her in new Orleans. That Bob Marley song depresses the shit out of me, long story.

HAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
That was craziness.

Here is another hilarious one. It is the Austrian entry from the 2003 Eurovision song contest. I was in London that year and we sat in our hotel room laughing our asses off for hours. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZ8xTD-Nr_o (Embedding disabled, limit reached)

Also from the contest is an awesome song from Belgium. The band is called Urban Trad and I have been unable to find any cds from them in the States. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRQlsvWMWBo (Embedding disabled, limit reached)

WOWZERZ This is getting hawt.

Letto : That orchestra stuff was pretty freaking cool. Starts all slow with one/two intruments then it gets all crazy.  Then you had the Jazzmataz stuff and that's the dude from Gangstarr I think, and Gangstarr is hawtness.
Asmo : The cuban hip-hop was cool, very old school vibe like gangstarr also.

Funken : That dude had some freakin skillzzzzzzzzz, sweetttt.

Rasho : I liked The Tutts, reminded me a lot of the strokes, whom I listened to for ages.
