It is finally May 20th, 2008! AKA Brand spankin' new Islands CD has been officially released in stores! It leaked a bit over a month ago and it has literally all I have listened too since then! This CD is absolutely epic and mind blowing!! The song Vertigo is probably the best song I've heard in my life. It's 11 minutes of epic ear-gasms with the strings flailing wildly! They put the entire album up on their myspace to listen to. I encourage you to listen to it all but if I must..I shall have to force you to listen to Vertigo..and crank that bitch to 11 cause this song deserves to be ultra loud when listened too! ( Must listen to ENTIRE song cause the kick ass part is like 5-6 minutes into it ) And the artwork for the cover is fucking mind blowing! PLEASE LISTEN AND LOVE! No video but I definately reccomend listening to this cover of The Cure's Love Song done by Niyaz.
They're one of my favorite bands, I can't wait until they tour next year. Silly musicians had to go and make a baby together or I could have seen them sooner. /sigh  They came out with a new album on Tuesday but I haven't been able to get it on iTunes yet because I have no internet at home.  |

I went to go see the Submarines down in DC last weekend.  The sounds quality was lacking but they were a lot of fun too watch. Very high energy and good interaction with each other and the crowd. I also really liked the opening act - Dawn Landes. Not my usual type of music but I really enjoyed it. She is also completely adorable. |
